Set up direct deposit and your paycheck will be sent directly to your account. No worries, no hassle, and no need to visit a branch or cash a paper check. Plus, with SCU Direct Deposit you could get paid up to 2 days early!**

Step 1. Generate a personalized pre-filled Direct Deposit form* in Online Banking.

  • Login to Online Banking: Click Additional Services then click Direct Deposit in the Account Services column. 

 
  • Select Account: select the account you’d like your deposits to go to and we’ll pre-fill the form with your routing number, account number and account typeselect the account you’d like your deposits to go to and we’ll pre-fill the form with your routing number, account number and account type.
  • Print & Save: Print or save this customized form for your reference or to bring to your company.  You can also download a blank Direct Deposit Form and fill in the information yourself.

Step 2. Using your printed or saved Direct Deposit Form update your payroll delivery instructions

  • Use your company's online payroll system or provide your printed Direct Deposit Form to your company or agency that pays you.
    • Your payor may ask you to complete their form or provide a voided check in order to process your request

Step 3. Monitor your account

  • It can take one to two months before the Direct Deposit goes into effect. You can use e-Alerts to notify you when a Direct Deposit is available in your account.
*Sacramento County retirees, please complete this form and Return the completed form by mail or in person to SCERS; or by contacting SCERS to request a
digital (DocuSign) version. SCERS will not accept this form by fax or email.
**We offer the possibility of accessing incoming direct deposits made through ACH up to two days prior to the scheduled payment date. While we strive to provide early availability for direct deposits, it's important to note that this service is not guaranteed, and availability may vary for each deposit. Factors such as the timing of the originator's instructions, any predetermined limitations on early availability, and fraud prevention screening may influence fund availability. Please note that certain types of deposits, such as physical checks, remote check deposits, and other online transfers or electronic credits, are not eligible for Early Pay Day deposits or credits to your account.
